After internal disease class (aka i.d.) on Monday, we thought it would be a good idea to have some Japanese udon noodles at Arbat to warm our tummy up. It's been snowing quite heavily for the past 2-3 days if u haven't noticed.

Finally cleared a debt I owe for some time. It was a good relief I must say. For all those who made it too today, congrats.

Been snowing a little these couple of days. Winter always gives a rather solemn mood here in Moscow.

Here are some pictures I took with the camera that's always with me, a Pentax Optio M50. In other words, a compact camera. Sometimes it's just a little inconvenient to be lugging a bunch of books plus a dslr. So having a compact really saves u the space plus not missing any interesting shots.

As Chase Jarvis put it, The Best Camera Is The One That’s With You. But if i were to put it myself, it would be The Best Camera Is The One That's ALWAYS With You.

On Saturday, Remy and I decided to give Ikea a visit. It's been a while since we've been there.. and Remy needed some new furniture for his new room. So off we went.



On the way to the metro, i managed to make a shot of this.

It sucks to work on Saturdays.. I just had replacement class in the morning due to classes that I missed for some good reason. Had to wake up at 8 something on a Saturday! I mean who works on Saturdays? Besides the professor that came for my replacement class, my dad, my uncles and almost everyone else..







So we took our usual mode of transport to a destination to reach the destination.




After the metro, we had to take a 'marshoot' (a sort of taxi-van) to Ikea.
There was a line when we reached, so we queued.




Remy was hungry, so he bought a cheburek to fill up. Cheburek is a Georgian dish (I think), which is basically deep fried dough that's stuffed with mutton or beef with mash potatoes, cheese or mushrooms.







After buying my stuffs, Qing and I had to wait for Remy to be done with his shopping. Qing was feeling tired and bored after awhile so she became restless lol. Shopping in Ikea always is a big ordeal.




We had a meal in this nice lookin canteen-like Ikea cafe or sumthin. Most Malaysian students would have been here b4 countless of times. Could have taken a better shot of the canteen but I was tooo hungry.




So I ate. The cute lookin ziraffe is Dou dou's (my pet dog) new toy !




We all love eating. It brings back the good creation call - 'smile'




By the way, Remy's my new room mate. Cheers roomie !




Ps : My oly e-520 was out of batt, so I took his nikon D60 to take this. *The banana was not my idea.

Was taking a stroll at the park after class last week. It's post autumn so the pond is becoming icy.




While making this shot, the duckies were actually walking towards me! Quack Quack !

It's situated at the start of Old Arbat Street. The signboards are yellow and its called Eurasia. It's opposite of Aзия Кафе and Кофе Хауз. U can't miss it.



Rather small but nicely lit.




We were seated shortly after arriving.




Everyone practically ordered this cause obviously it's worth the rubles you're paying for.
It's their biggest serving.




While waiting for supper to be ready, we chatted, laughed and fooled around as usual.

No he's not drunk yet.




And so our meal arrived. It didn't take long.. which is a plus point. Got to understand that in Russia, waiters are often rude and service are slow.




More food is definitely aaawesome.

Taking advantage of the deal, we ordered more of course. Followed buy another round of cheesecakes.





Clover and BlurVodka came 30mins later and joined us.





We ate til 2.00am ++ that night.. all of us were bloated, thus satisfied.
Frankly, it wasn't the best sushi I've tasted.. but the companies that could make it there + the Buy 1 free 1 offer was simply awesome.

Definitely would go again after a stressful of never ending tests.
