Photog of the Day # 1

Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 5:59 PM
Dear readers, from today onwards I will post random pictures of the day apart from the blog posts with a theme I've been doing so far. I'm doing this because I thought it would be a good idea to share more pictures I've taken.

Afterall, where's the JOY in photography if pictures are just kept and not being shared ?

Hopefully I can make it a daily affair of updating them.
Pictures are taken in Moscow unless stated.

Ministry of foreign affair building. It's also known as one of the seven sisters of Moscow's skyscrapers. Muscovites call them the Stalinskie Vysotski, "Stalin's tall building".

Thanks for viewing. Comments are very much welcome.

Cheers to the coming new year !

It's snowing once again

Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at 11:35 PM
After internal disease class (aka i.d.) on Monday, we thought it would be a good idea to have some Japanese udon noodles at Arbat to warm our tummy up. It's been snowing quite heavily for the past 2-3 days if u haven't noticed.

Here's some pictures of the snow journey to Arbat street.

I thought the last picture was interesting. Despite the heavy snow, these street artist continue on with their work hoping to draw customers to their little portraiture booth. I suppose you can always find these artists sketching away at Arbat all season round.

So I guess Moscow's back with the usual weather business! Personally i thought snowing is a tedious matter. I've seen people fall down far too many times when it snows like that. Plus it's so hard to wake up in the morning when its so nice and warm at bed.

But what would Christmas be without some frosting? Global warming.

Next up, dinner at Udonbyasan !

Hooi Lam & Jeanette Birthday Bash

Sunday, December 6, 2009 at 1:44 AM
On Friday night we celebrated Hooi Lam and Jeanette's birthday.
Venue was at 'зтаж' over Evropesky Mall. It's situated at the 7th floor, greeted by an ice skating ring. Interesting place I must say.. cozy blue lighting that made me felt like i was dining in a swimming pool.

Here's some.

I thought the food was substandard.. and tad bit too expensive. But it was a good night no doubt with the usual companies and the blue cozy light that brought us together.

Happy belated birthday once again to the 2 burfday girls !!! Cheers to the night.
That's all folks.

Ps : what did u think about supersam's food at 1st ? thanks kinn for the group shots and the bokeh pic !

Visited a Chinese buffet restaurant at tagan last month after gen surg. Wasn't intentionally.. just some random thought that became a reality.

So here's some.

No wonder the waiter look at me and kinn in utter disbelieve .. cause there's free drinks but we refused to order any !! She must be thinking.. " Are these bunch of 'fumbducks' CHINESE or what ???"

oh yeah.. forgot to shoot the food cause i guess i was too hungry. :P

So.. allow me to describe it and hopefully ur imagination can run wild like Raimie's random head.
There was chicken gizzard in black sauce, sweet and sour salmon, fried cabbage, fried mee, fried rice, some cold dishes (chinese salad) and best of all... free drink !! I think there was one more dish but i forgot. woops.

Overall, not too bad. 290rubz per person - unlimited portion of food + free drink. Why not ?

The Lazarus Effect

Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 3:16 AM

A short post non-related to photography .
This post was booked for Chinese Buffet restaurant but i shall make an exception because.

December 1st is World's AIDS Day. Err ... So ?

I guess most of us are blessed and comfortable enough to rather not give much thought about this deadly virus or just shrug it off whenever this issue is brought up and continue with our normal lives. But do you know anything about it besides being a significant health issue?

The Lazarus effect is a documentary film made by Lance Bangs to let the world know that there's a miraculous power of Aids medicine to give people the chance of a future where once there was no hope.
