On Thursday the 28th of January approx 4am, we had this great escape to Broga's Hill. I was very much looking forward to it but at the same time, due to half a year of NIL - exercise.. i dreaded to climb a hill. But I gotta say, it was WORTH every climb and crawl when we reached the top.
Andrew picked kinn and me up, then we headed to 7 eleven to get some energy drink to help us psychologically.. at least IMO lol. Taken handheld. Pitch dark.
Then, we waited at Andrew's place for Bob to pick us all up. We took off frm here at 4.30am and head towards broga's. Taken handheld.
Our initial plan was to have Douglas in our team and to guide us the direction towards Broga's Hill. Plan failed due to everyone's fault of not reminding him the night b4. The absence of his presence caused us a delay of 45+ mins to reach our destination. I gotta tell you.. GPS is one of the GREATEST invention of this century.
This is the foothill of Broga's. But try imagining it pitch black. Couldn't see nuts. And thanks to our last minute habit and totally forgot to bring torch lights except for Bob with a SMALL one.. it was spooky. A little movement or sound scared the sh*t of me.. and kinn.
The paths at the beginning of the foothill.
This one's scary in pitch black with only one torch light to lead 4 bozzos.
The stairs that lead us to an earthly haven.
Sneak pic at the TOP !
Stay in tune for more to come. Updating asap. By the way, Happy Thaipusam to all my Indian buddies !

Went out with John and Kinn one night for sheesha and supper. And al-safa is the place for it!
This is the premise. Located at tv3 shell 's next junction to the left.. all the way straight til u see where the crowd is sitting down
obviously shee-sha-ing away chilling.
The rice is alright but the chicken is Awesome! The taste of the fried chicken and curry leaf aroma is unforgettable.
Recommended!

One noon after doing our passport visa thing in KL, our (John Thong and I) spontaneous impulse fired through our nerves.. telling us to just.. simply go fishing!
This is my 1st ever fishing spot, 'Kelana Laguna'. It's situated opposite Giant of Kelana and sits right behind the Shell station.
Kinda like the place except for the lack of any catch.
My 1st ever fishing rod! Sweeeeeet.. Bought it at cash converters for only rm25! It is a bargain for a beginner noob like me.
This is the basic of all basic accessories for fishing. Swivels, hook and weights.
The 1st one was the bait we bought at this place.. which was quite useless. It's actually chicken feet mix.. but i guess they didn't do it well.. or we're just noobs.
The 2nd one's Gardenia bread. We read in the forum that pachus love this. So we gave it a try.
IT was better than the 1st. They love the bread more than the odd looking chicken feet mix.
This is John Thong in action.
This is where I kept my focus on. A tilt at the tip and I gotta pull it up as hard as I can like there's no tmr!
After 2 solid hours, only these 2 chinese guys had 2 catch each. One a pachu and the other not sure what its called.. Rahu maybe.
Some random motorbiker.
JT waiting patiently for the bite.
Fishing sounds easy.. but its not.. at least not to me.. learning how to tie the knots was a pain..braving myself to hold worms and put them on baits was terrifying.. even casting the bait was quite a challenge not to cast it on the ceiling or hooking anyone's eyeball (ouch).. and of course.. most of all .. the patience in waiting for the fish taiko to bite. But its all worth it i tell ya when there's a catch!
By the way, this place only charge 6 bux for half a day! It's the cheapest I've heard so far around PJ.. but the bite is just too little. I wouldn't come back here unless other places are closed for some reason.
Til then, stay tuned for my 1st successful catch of lampang! lol

It was an error that lead us to this eatery. My bro and I wanted to eat at some famous curry chee cheong fun but was closed at a very odd hour. Prolly b'coz it was soo good there was nothin left to sell.
So we venture further along the road and we stumbled upon this place.
Restaurant Khong Kee. Don't know why it keeps rhyming king kong in my head.
Yong Tau Foo. It was so so to me.
This is the main highlight of the shop. Porridge with century egg + oyster + nuts + spring onions as toppings. Savoured it til the last drop.
In the end, we still got to eat curry chee cheong fun as well lol.

Love this country. Besides the traffic.
